THE AMARA CHAIR

Crafted to last beyond time.

Derived from the Sanskrit word “Amara”, meaning eternal or immortal, this chair embodies timeless design. Neither bound by era nor trend, it reflects the enduring balance between structure and softness — a piece that will remain graceful through generations.

Fili d’Oro (Seating)

Design Story

Each Amara Chair is handcrafted from solid Burma teak, selected for its grain consistency and strength. The arms and frame are joined using traditional mortise and dowel joinery, eliminating any visible screws or fittings. Every curve is hand-shaped, giving it an organic softness that mechanical tools cannot replicate. The seat and backrest are wrapped in hand-stitched velvet upholstery, chosen in deep forest tones to echo calm, depth, and continuity with nature. Finally, each piece is hand-polished using natural oils — not surface finishes — ensuring the wood breathes, matures, and grows richer with time.

Concept

The Amara Chair is about restraint and permanence. Its form celebrates simplicity — curved teak arms that flow in a single motion, a backrest that rests like a gentle horizon, and a seat built for long, quiet comfort. It’s a modern silhouette rooted in heritage. No excess. No distraction. Only honest material and lasting form.
